The past 12 months have been a year of success, learning and growth for Tipping Point and the campaigns we support, as we continue to build a people powered movement to solve Australia’s biggest contribution to the climate crisis – coal.

From pushing companies Marubeni-Itochu, Sojitz and Mitsui to publicly state that they will not be entering into a joint venture partnership with Whitehaven Coal for their Blackwater South coal mine acquisition, to coordinating 98 actions nationwide across 57 electorates calling for ‘No More Coal and Gas’, our movements are taking on big, bold and challenging work. 

But it is not all smooth sailing: despite our tenacity, strategy and fight, the Albanese Labor Government broke its promise to overhaul Australia’s outdated and ineffective environment laws, signalling the end of our campaign for a climate trigger. And the Wangan & Jagalingou Nagana Yarrbayn Cultural Custodian’s fight to Stop Adani is ongoing, with Adani continuing to mine sacred lands and destroy water, culture and Country. 

Our fight continues. And, as always, we couldn’t do it without you.
