It’s the first week of summer: a week of contradictions.
☀️ The weather is warming, the beach is populated with holidaymakers, and we are all wrapping up our commitments for the year.
🔥 But, the climate predictions are in and they are dire: we could be facing a bushfire season equivalent to the 2019-2020 Black Summer.
💬 Meanwhile, we know many of you have been hard at work having conversations and building support for polluters to pay in your communities through surveys and petitions.
⏩ The first week of summer is the perfect time to demonstrate that support to your local council. This is our chance to tell powerful stories of the growing costs of climate change, and how a Climate Compensation Fund is vital to protect us. ⏪
